Holiness From Fear, Not Theology

I found the following quote to be very helpful as I study my Bible and teach my boys.  It is an excerpt from a sermon on Psalm 25 titled "Prayer and Meditation" by Pastor Mark Fitzpatrick of Arann Reformed Baptist Church preached on 10/15/2014:
"Theology will not keep you safe.  It is the fruit of a heart that fears the Lord; it is the evidence, not the cause.  The more correct you become in theology does not make you more holy as a believer.  The biblical model is that when you fear the Lord and become holy, then true theology of the Word will follow.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  As a theological system, Calvinism will make no one holy; it won't add one ounce of holiness to your life.  Good theology is important, but it only follows the fear of God."
"What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose," (Psalm 25:12).
